ABSTRACT

Study on the plant species composition and nutrition ingredient of the most favourite plants using as green foods for the H’mong’s cows in spring-winter season in Ha Thon commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province

Study on the species composition of food plants for the H’Mông’s cows in Ha Mon commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province. We investigated 41 species of 35 genera and 24 families in Angiospermae and Polypodiophyta. Of which, Angiospermae is dominant, with 38 species, mostly Dicotyledoneae. The present study also recored 10 major habits, in which mostly shrubs, followed by erect herbs, tree and climber. Furthermore, 6 species of 5 genera and 5 families in Angiospermae are favourite food plants for the H’Mông’s cows, with the leaves are mostly choosen. The ingredients analyses of these favourite food plants indicated that their protein content and others are better than the normal food plants such as elephant grass and corn.
